We’re happy to announce that Bigfoot Family is one of the 10 official competition selections in the feature film category at the 2020 Annecy Animation Festival. From Variety:
“France’s 2020 Annecy Festival, the highest-profile animation gathering in the world, has unveiled its main Feature Film competition and major Contrechamp sidebar.
Sold by Charades, and directed by pioneering 3D cineaste Ben Stassen and Jérémie Degruson, tiny tot skewing “Bigfoot Family” marks a follow-up to 2018’s “Son of Bigfoot,” which grossed a significant $50 million worldwide.”
The Hollywood premiere of The Nut Job 2 took place on Saturday August 5, 2017! Take a look at some photos from the red carpet. It was great to see it with an audience, and in less than one week it hits theaters around the world!
Escape From Planet Earth was released in the UK on March 7th, 2014. It’s been great to see the movie released all over the world, but the London release deserved a picture. Gotta love those double decker buses!
The European rollout continues. The next major releases are France on May 7th, and Germany on May 29th.
Last night we watched Escape From Planet Earth with a great crowd in Waterloo park. The movie was projected on a giant inflatable screen after the sun went down. Thanks very much to the organizers, it was a blast to attend!
Escape From Planet Earth was just released in Taiwan, where Chinese Mandopop singer Jam Hsiao played the voice of Scorch! It’s fun to see the international release roll out, and as they say in Chinese, 灼燒我,寶貝! (Scorch me, baby!)
Escape From Planet Earth had an INCREDIBLE opening weekend! Our total box office gross over the 4-day holiday was $21,101,976. On a budget of only $40 million, that ain’t half bad! To top it off, on February 18 (Presidents’ Day) we were #1 at the North American box office!
We went to see the movie on opening day, and it was great to watch it with an audience. We spent the entire weekend glued to our computers, waiting for the box office results and the audience response. We had a great audience response, and wound up with a B+ Cinemascore.
A huge thanks to everyone who came out and saw the movie!
